For many young people today, social media serves as their stage—a showcase where they must always appear to measure up, amidst filters and "likes," while feelings of inadequacy, confusion, and restlessness grow within them.
Greek theater flips this dynamic: its stage does not conceal life, but reveals it. This is the inspiration behind our project, Between Stage and Reality (Tra palco e realtà): we aim to help young people recognize themselves, put a name to their emotions, and discover that real life is worth far more than any curated showcase.
We believe that Greek tragedy is an extraordinary educational ally—the oldest school for exploring emotions and citizenship. It brings the human soul to the stage, with all its dilemmas, passions, and downfalls, while always leaving open the possibility of rebirth. It is not about death; rather, it is a passionate inquiry into life itself.

Now in its fourth edition, the project—previously targeted to upper secondary schools in the Lazio region—is expanding into new territories. Thanks to the enthusiasm and positive feedback from teachers and students, in the 2026/2027 school year we will also welcome schools from the Lombardy and Sicily regions.
On Thursday, October 22, 2026, the first meeting with teachers from the Lazio region took place in Rome; it served as an opportunity to present the project, announce the release of the call for participation, and enable schools to take part. In the coming days, similar meetings will be held for teachers in the other two regions.
The project—which includes, among other elements, a special lecture-event and meetings with directors and actors—will culminate in the opportunity to attend performances staged by Fondazione INDA at the Greek Theatre of Syracuse, free of charge, thanks to tickets provided by Fondazione Oltre:
The Birds by Aristophanes (May 7, 2027 – June 4, 2027)
The Trojan Women by Euripides (May 8, 2027 – June 5, 2027)
