The project, created to provide educational opportunities for young people, is sponsored by Fondazione Oltre, in collaboration with Fondazione INDA and the patronage of the Lazio Regional School Department. On April 17, 2024, the presentation involved the writer and lecturer, Alessandro D'Avenia, meeting with the students, dialogging about the relevance of Greek tragedy and its plots, still capable of speaking to new generations.

Six Roman schools took part in the first edition: "Terenzio Mamiani", "Tommaso Salvini", "Torquato Tasso" , "Pilo Albertelli","Bertrand Russell" and the "Luciano Manara” high schools, involving hundreds of students in a unique journey.

The words of those who made the project possible

"Fondazione Oltre cares about youth, families and education. The project "Building the Future, Encounter with Greek Theater,” involves educating young people through tragedy, working alongside schools and supporting families with high-level cultural proposals, because we care about the country's future."

"It is important to educate young people about the beauty that makes them think, closing the educational circle. With Fondazione Oltre we put young people and their families at the center, and this project is the first of a series in schools. Given the enthusiasm of faculty and students, we will repeat it next year."

"I would like to thank Fondazione Oltre for this outstanding initiative for students’ civic and cultural education. It instills them with a knowledge of classical culture through the direct experience of theater, which ensures the transmission of ideas and values of the great Greek and Latin writers of tragedies."
