A donation that smacks of hope: the one made to support the new emergency room (DEA Level II) at the Rome branch of the Bambino Gesù Children's Hospital. The Level II Emergency Room of the Bambino Gesù Children's Hospital in Rome is the hub of the Pediatric Emergency Network and the Pediatric Severe Trauma Network for the Lazio Region, and is the only regional Level II pediatric emergency department to provide emergency surgical and neurosurgical care, neonatal and pediatric intensive care, and pediatric cardiac surgery.
The Bambino Gesù ER is also home to the Pediatric Poison Control Center and the ECMO (extracorporeal membrane oxygenation) Center, both of which are regionally recognized. Aside from its role in the regional emergency network, patients from other regions of Italy or other countries in need of highly specialized care come to the hospital's emergency department . "We are really happy to have been able to contribute to the realization of the new emergency room project of the Bambino Gesù Children's Hospital, an excellence not only for the city of Rome and the whole country, but recognized as such internationally. The mission of our Foundation," emphasized Thea Paola Angelini, President of Fondazione Oltre , "is precisely that of accompanying children and families in times of need and difficulty, and this project goes exactly in that direction: guaranteeing the maximum support and the best possible assistance. A further milestone of our collaboration with Bambino Gesù Hospital, after the creation of the first Palliative Care Center in the Lazio Region in 2022."
