Alberto Pellai is a physician, developmental psychotherapist and researcher at the Department of Biomedical Sciences for Health at the University of Milan. In 2004, the Ministry of Health awarded him the Silver Medal of Merit in Public Health. He is the author of numerous books on parenting and psychology, including Allenare alla vita, Esci da quella stanza, L’età dello tsunami, Io gomitolo tu filo, La bussola delle emozioni, Tutto troppo presto, Ragazzo mio, some of which wew written with his wife Barbara Tamborini, and translated into more than 15 countries

Since 2010, he has been writing a column in Famiglia Cristiana magazine where he answers questions from parents, grandparents and educators. Since September 2024, he has been a regular guest on RaiTre's Geo program once a week to talk about parenting.

On September 10, 2024, he was among the first signatories along with pedagogue Daniele Novara, of a petition submitted to the government to ban smartphones for those under 14 and social media for those under 16.

He is followed by more than 300,000 people on his social media profiles.
